Held exclusively at the YSL Beauty Light Club Pop-Up at The Exchange TRX, this initiative breaks down barriers for aspiring DJs whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping behind the decks for the first time.
There’s no competition, just pure opportunity: each participant gets to perform their own set live on stage, with every performance professionally recorded and featured on a dedicated YSL website.

Yes. Once registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation for your performance slot, where you’ll step confidently onto the stage and play your first club-ready set, showcasing your DJ talent.

STEP 2. Attend the YSL BEAUTY LIGHT CLUB POP-UP @ The Exchange TRX (G Floor, in front of Concierge), all you have to do is show up!
STEP 3. Get ready to step up and play your first club-ready set in your designated timeslot.
YSL Beauty Light Club Rising Beats is open to all Malaysians aged 18 and above, currently residing in Malaysia. Whether you’re an experienced DJ, a passionate music lover eager to try something new, or simply looking to step out of your comfort zone, this platform is for you. No prior DJ professional experience is required; we provide the professional gear (2x CDJ3000 and 1x DJM900 Nexus2) you need to get started. Participants must bring their own DJ accessories (USB pen drives, headphones, DJ software/laptops). The only requirements are your enthusiasm and commitment to attend your scheduled performance slot at The Exchange TRX, and readiness to share your sound with the world.
Yes. You must be 18 or older by the time registration opens.
Yes. You just need to be available on your allocated performance date and timeslot as per the booking form.
Absolutely. Everyone's motivations for why they sign up is different. If you just want to make some friends, try something new or push yourself out of your comfort zone, you should apply!
However, all applicants should be willing to commit to the entire experience which means registering and booking your slot, attending YSL BEAUTY LIGHT CLUB POP-UP @ The Exchange TRX (G Floor, in front of Concierge), and performing during your designated timeslot.
At the event, YSL BEAUTY LIGHT CLUB RISING BEATS will provide 2x CDJ3000 and 1x DJM900 Nexus2 to perform during your 30-minute performance. However, all participants must bring their own DJ accessories (USB pen drives, headphones, DJ software/laptops).
Unfortunately, due to time constraints and the volume of applicants that need to be reviewed, there are only four fixed timeslots each event day. All available performance timeslots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are unable to attend your slot, please book the next available slot.
You will need to be available on your allocated performance date and timeslot as per the booking form. Attendance is 100% mandatory - failure to comply will result in your immediate withdrawal from the Event.
If it’s critical you may reschedule the booking slot once, within 48 hours of the original booking through the same booking confirmation email link.
Yes. If you're keen and interested, you may register. However, transportation and accommodation will not be covered by the Organiser.
